- Kentucky Wesleyan College was rated the 8th Best Regional College in the South, a Best Value School, and Best Regional College for Veterans in 2017 by U.S. News & World Report.
- Washington Monthly recognized Kentucky Wesleyan College as the top institution for bachelor’s degree in Kentucky, and #33 in the nation, based on the College’s contribution to public good in the areas of social mobility, research, and service.
- U.S. News & World Report ranked Kentucky Wesleyan 3rd Best Regional College in the category of “Great Schools, Great Prices.” Additionally, Wesleyan has been named a “Best in the Southeast” institution by the Princeton Review each of the last five years.
- For the second-consecutive year, Kentucky Wesleyan increased its goal on Giving Tuesday to nearly $190,000 dollars in 2017. This was a 27% percent increase from the previous year.
- Owensboro is among top-11 cities in the U.S. for millennial homebuyers, which has accounted for nearly 50% percent of home mortgages purchased in Daviess County.
- Kentucky Wesleyan is in the midst of a progressive transition around campus. The recently completed Kendall Hall renovations gives our students a quality residential student experience. The recent athletic facility enhancements provides athletes, fans and the student body an improved community event experience.
- Owensboro Public Schools, Owensboro Health and Kentucky Wesleyan College partnered to open the new track & field facility in the summer of 2017. It’s located at the Owensboro Middle North campus.
Panther Athletics:
- Kentucky Wesleyan College is one of the founding members of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). The Panthers joined the conference in 2013 and over the past four years have seen an over an overall 20-percent win increase among our 18 programs.
- Since its move from Winchester to Owensboro in 1951, the basketball program immediately took off and has not disappointed its fan base, alumni and community. In a basketball-crazed region, the Panthers are a staple in the bluegrass state, with eight NCAA Div. II national championships This storied program has appeared in 12 national title games, with 17 national semifinal finishes, 40 NCAA Tournament appearances and a GMAC Conference title in 2017.
- The College has 18 intercollegiate sports and competes on campus with intramurals. Over 50-percent of our enrolled students participate in athletics annually at Kentucky Wesleyan.

- Football: Three-Time All-American Keelan Cole signed as an undrafted free agent with Jacksonville Jaguars (2017)
- Softball: G-MAC Champions, school-record in wins (38) and first-ever NCAA Tournament Appearance (2017)
